The Golan Heights sit in the north eastern region of Israel, on the Golan was taken from Syria during one of the wars between the two countries. Standing there, on the volcanic cliffs, that claim seems ridiculous. The immense power of the mountain cliffs, the rocks, the ancient trees, reminded me of a saying by the great philosopher Crocodile Dundee: "See those rocks? Been standing there for 600 million years. Still be there when you and I are gone. So arguing over who owns them is like two fleas arguing over who owns the dog they live on."
